Oh hello.
I forgot you were here. How long has it been? Too long, says you.
Time for a revival.

Fire ahead - Ask me what you like! http://www.formspring.me/scottdb
irishlorie asked: When you live in such a small town, as I do, what would you suggest for finding a way to learn the Irish-language? Thanks for any response. :o)
kmccafferty asked: Hello sir! You're quite welcome for being reminded of the fantastic Nuala Ni Dhomhnaill poem! It may sound a bit silly, but I just wanted to tell you that you're someone I greatly admire and look up to. Keep on doing what you're doing and what you believe in and what you love, people tend to forget to do those things more and more often.

Just back home...
…from speaking at an Irish-language community event in my hometown of Clontarf.
The Éigse Chluain Tarbh (English: Clontarf Assembly) hosted the event, who invited Aodhán Ó Ríordáin TD amongst myself and others. I was delighted to have been involved to speak about career prospects that involve Irish, especially in the media. It was also great to see two community groups in the one suburb...

In Defence of a Minority Language
I speak a language that only about 5% of the population of my country use on a daily basis. Even though such a small group use it that often, it is fairly visible on some signage and in some media around the country - a country which is meant to be bilingual.
It’s meant to be bilingual, but it’s not. 95% of the country don’t speak it (regularly, at least) while some go so far as...

– This is one of my favourite poems in Irish; “Ceist na Teangan” (The Language Question) written by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill. The English translation can be found here, and big thanks to kmccafferty for originally posting it and reminding me of it.
Return of the Tumblr
Tumblr really is a great way of blogging and finding out more about other people are blogging about. I genuinely don’t know why I left it dormant for so many months!
So, I’ve revived it from its grave! As always, I’ll be hoping to post material about design here, as well as the occasional personal account. I’ve also started becoming interested in menswear and style, so you...

Suit from Dolce & Gabbana (thanks @Bainser)
I can quickly imagine H&M doing a version of this, if they haven’t already! But is it me, or do the trousers look a bit unfitted?
As Bainser put it:
Loving this shot from Womens Wear Daily. I absolutley love this Dolce & Gabbana suit. The lapels are wider and are actually seamed in a different way to normal. It’s all in the details!
Hmmm....
I’ve forgotten about this blog for a bit too long, haven’t I? I need to update it a bit, but in the meantime, all ideas/comments welcome.
